Job Title: Market Development Manager – Healthcare
Business Unit: Marketing (China)
Location: Shanghai, China
Reports To: Strategic Market Development Director, China

Job Functions:
a) Lead Healthcare Market Development:
o Develop market insights and strategy for long-term growth in the healthcare market, key responsibilities include
o Market segmentation analysis. Segmentation based on appropriate criteria (Size, type, growth rate, customer usage pattern, application, procurement process . . .etc)
o Opportunities mapping for new customers, products, geographies, and segment penetration
o Refine value proposition based on core capabilities and changing competitive landscape
o Identify key trends & market drivers resulting from changes in regulatory framework, funding opportunities, government and private initiatives
o Update segment size, growth rate and competitive intelligence
o Support marketing leader with 5year strategic plan and vertical market annual operating plan
o Prioritize strategic initiatives to maximize market share gain and long term ROI
o Formulate business plan and take actionable steps to guide commercial follow through by focus account and divisional teams
o Develop comprehensive customer segment target lists
o Communicate relevant & timely actionable market updates
o Own cross divisional market campaigns with marcomm team’s support
o Create and deliver appropriate selling tools – value prop, portfolio bundling package, application presentation content, training material and customer journey map
o Enhance programs to cultivate key opinion leaders, relevant industry associations
o Support major cross divisional commercial opportunities and develop pricing framework and commercial incentive structures for major bids
o Provide new product ideation process based on market analysis, customer feedback from surveys and VOC
o Develop sets of core experts for consultation on major projects
o Manage vertical marketing process and track the relevant results.
o Develop project charter for major initiatives and track appropriate metrics on a monthly and quarterly review process
o Develop and manage budgets for food-safety related vertical market programs
o Set up, coach and standardize a system enabling new market development process across the company;
Educations:
o B.A, M.A or above in natural sciences or engineering field related to pharmaceutical or scientific instruments with additional course work or commensurate experience in marketing. MBA a plus.
o MBA in marketing with relevant course work or commensurate experience in healthcare or scientific instrument industry
Experience:
o Must have > 3 years experience in healthcare related industry such as with state/provincial/municipal level AQSIQ, CDC, NIFDA or relevant Testing Labs relevant to healthcare industry;
o Must have >3 years commercial experience in marketing or t or relevant roles related to healthcare; Must have hands-on knowledge on scientific Instruments, consumables & reagents;
o Min. 3 years experience working in known global companies;

o Strong communication & leadership skills & capabilities; Open minded and enjoy working with people;
o Self motivated and driven. Ability to think creatively in unstructured situations
o Strong commercial sense; Able to work with sales and marketing team to judge business opportunities and gaps for improvement;
o Good analytical skills and strategic mentality; Able to understand company strength and long-term goals, vision & priorities; Strategic thinking to highlight key opportunities and challenges and to propose solutions for business growth;
o Able to manage time and resources independently;
o Must speak and write good English; Must have reasonable presentation skills;
o Excellent computer application skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and Office Outlook;
