KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with US/UK team members to understand SCR system and component development and support CES China engineering efforts to develop Euro IV/V engine after-treatment system for both Cummins and non-Cummins customers.
• Conduct required IQA for all test vehicles before test and perform evaluation of system and components performance through the testing.
• Support aftertreatment system field test from test preparation, data collection, to failure analysis.
• Participate in full system vehicle testing to prove acceptable system performance. This includes test trips such as environmental cold/hot tests.
• Responsible for specific aftertreatment component validation. This may include test design, data reduction, parameter tuning, results presentation and post release validation
• Work closely with the design group and product development team to ensure technical profile and customers requirements are fully met through field testing.
• Assess the robustness and capability of new designs in meeting their customer expectations through participation in design reviews and field testing data analysis.
• Support the Failure Incident Review Group to collect data, plan validation test, and data analysis to close out component and system field test failures.
Applies basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks. Assist in developing technical specifications, implementing designs, and to deliver high performance, low-cost equipment or system results integrated with customers’ products. Interfaces with sales, manufacturing, and marketing teams to design and deliver solutions.
Uses prescribed and innovative methods, and works with limited guidance.
Participates as a team member and actively contributes towards team goals.
Carries out partially defined and moderately complex tasks.
Demonstrates good understanding and applies knowledge of an engineering discipline.
Applies engineering and/or scientific skills and continues to develop experience in creating engineering solutions.
Requirement:
Education
• Good understanding of basic engine components and diesel engine aftertreatment technology.
• Knowledge of basic automotive vehicle application and mechanical experience
