· Travel product or marketing qualifications advantageous
· B2B business development & relationship management experience
· Significant experience in adventure travel product development
· Demonstrated ability to build business relationships and effectively influence outcomes without direct authority
· Deep destination / regional travel knowledge

NOTE: It is a requirement of this role to travel locally and globally for research, relationship management and sales.

Objectives
Profitable Growth
· Grow sales and profitability of China outbound business
· Achieve annual sales target through proactive sales strategies and networking.
· Target new regional DMC business through various business developmen approaches such as attending trade shows, networking events, and meetings with prospective partners.
Product Development
· Develop deep understanding of the different PEAK brands, external partners and their product requirements
· Research, analyse & interpret market intelligence and trends, to identify new market opportunities.
· Ensure smooth follow through to Purchasing & Reservations for seamless delivery of trips.
· Regularly provide market trend analysis and new product options to brand partners and DMC Global.
· Work closely with DMC Purchasing & Operations on product development.
Relationship Management
· Effectively manage partnerships with PEAK brands, especially Product managers, and non-PEAK brands in relation to product development
· Develop network relationships with National Tourist Office and relevant industry associations.
Staff Development, Succession and Leadership
· Effectively lead, coach and develop outbound Sales Consultants and Sales Team Leaders, once the business growth supports team growth.
· Provide input into the development of Leader training materials that focus on the needs of the Chinese market.
