JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Key Skills:
2 3+ years experience testing and releasing enterprise level software products.
2 Core technical knowledge should include at least 3 of the following areas
2 a good understanding of operating system fundamentals
2 a good understanding of databases (architecture, administration and quality assurance)
2 Hands on experience with MySQL or similar relational database
2 Hands on experience and knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows OSes
2 An understanding of networking fundamentals as applicable to database administration
2 Working knowledge and hands-on coding experience in one or more of the following programming languages:
Java/C/C++ /Perl/Python Shell script (csh/sh/bash)
2 Experienced in developing automation testing, and familiar with at least one of automation tools
2 Strong trouble shooting and debugging skills to assist in root cause analysis
2 A good understanding of QA process and software development life cycle
2 Good communication skills required
2 Must be team oriented and be capable of working largely on your own with minimum supervision
JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2 Work with the core R&D engineers and QA engineers to develop and test a DBaaS solution
2 o Work closely with R&D engineers during the product development to implement automation framework and system test.
2 o Assist in design, selection and implementation of test framework and unit test creation
2 o Implement test code
2 o File defect reports/Triage defects
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
