Job description
IBM is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team of Employee and Labour Relations professionals in China. The successful candidate will:
• Provide advice and counsel on HR practices related to China Labor Laws and regulations. Monitor new labor rules and policies, and providing timely advice and strategic direction to the HR organization.
• Support the HR function owners (such as Compensation, Benefits, Talent etc) in the design and improvement of policies and practices in order to enhance employee engagement and minimize risk
• Manage any labor dispute, and provide support for IBM’s labor relations strategy
• Provide HR leadership in crisis avoidance and management
• While the close management of individual employee relations cases is not a primary functional responsibility of this employee, it is expected that the successful candidate will have relevant Human Resource management experience and be in a position to provide local leadership and coordination where necessary.
Required Skill:
T• he successful candidate must have prior experience in Employee and Labor Relations in China, and be able to work as a member of a team.
• Consulting at a senior level across HR, Legal, and Finance organizations is essential.
• A demonstrated ability to use existing relationships to collaborate and network externally with government and non-government organizations is important in this role.
• Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in working in a complex multi-national environment, however this is not a pre-requisite.
• Qualifications in employment law are an advantage for this role.
